That's right, 171 rum-pouring, cider-slinging, low-ceilinged, post-and-beam beauties. Many of these bars have actually been visited by Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Adams and other Founding Fathers. The red teardrops indicate tavern buildings still operating as bars, green indicates hotel-bars, and dark blue indicates museum (a couple other categories can be seen on the map's key when you click the link).
